The very nature of the place was the inspiration for the community. From the very beginning, the Briar Chapel™ community was designed as a place in harmony with nature. We've preserved nearly 900 acres of open space, slopes and streambeds, and thousands of trees. The result is a more natural habitat for wildlife - and a healthier lifestyle for the people who call it home.
But that is just the beginning, as we have implemented advanced erosion control and storm water management systems to preserve resources. And of course there are the homes, which are all built with rigorous green building standards.
